Dinner at the Self's

Last week we went to John and Jenn's for dinner. This was the first time Brookelynn got to go see her friend Brynn. Every other time Brynn has come to see us at our house. Brynn is so happy...she was teaching Brookelynn how to smile real big!

This weekend we went to Austin to help Hunter (Bailey's little brother) with his sweet proposal!! Him and Shelby are engaged! We, along with several of their friends met in Austin at the Thistle Cafe to surprise Shelby with an engagement party. Hunter asked her at The Capital then he told her they were going to dinner. She didn't know that he had planned for everyone to be at a special dinner he prepared!

6 Weeks

It has been way too long since I posted!! Brookelynn is growing so fast and changing so much! She is doing new things every day!...

LAST WEEK (5 Weeks)

She is starting to notice things around her! This is the first time that she reached for a toy on her play mat.

She started sleeping in her bed last week and she even has slept through the night a few times! We are on our way to good nights of rest!!

More daddy time...she still loves her dad's pinky finger.

She fell asleep holding her hands like this the other day...so sweet!

THIS WEEK (6 Weeks)

I know it is not much but Brookelynn is starting this kick thing when she sits in her chair. I didn't get video of her fastest kicking patterns but she loves her chair!

She is in a very cuddly stage right now...this is the first time that she would snuggle with me on the couch. She was not a fan of sleeping on her stomach.

It has been getting cold at night so it is pretty chilly in our house in the mornings. I put this new outfit on today and thought it would be too big because it is 3 months...nope...it is the perfect length!

I just think it looks so cute on her!

We went outside to get some pictures...none really turned out but I thought this one was cute because she is smiling!!

At the farm

This past weekend we went to Coleman with Jared to bow hunt. We were sad that Rachel couldn't come but she was helping with a shower and taking care of our little nephew. We went down late on Friday night. We had such a great time and laughed a lot! There were no deer harvested but it was very nice to get away. Since we got to Coleman so late on Friday we all took a nap on Saturday. This is a sweet picture of Bailey sleeping with Brookelynn.

Mom, Jenn, Meme and Papaw met us down there on Saturday. Whenever Aunt Jenn is around you can expect a photo shoot! Mom got Brookelynn a sweet Halloween outfit that just asked to be photographed.

One Month

Wow I can't believe that Brookelynn is already one month old! But I do have to say that it has been the best month of my life! Bailey and I have enjoyed every minute with our precious little girl. It is amazing how much she has changed our life but it is WONDERFUL! You can see how much she has changed over these past 4 weeks...but some things you can't tell by the picture... She has started focusing on her choice of objects...She is very alert when she is awaof course we love it when we she focuses on us! She smiled at me for the first time this week, it was after a feeding but she was very awake... She is getting stronger by the day and holding her head up like a pro! She had her first bottle last week but she wasn't a big fan... She is getting so long that she is starting to fit into her 3 month outfits. We took these pictures on Thursday in the outfit that our sweet Aunt Mary Shannon and Uncle Todd gave her.

Last weekend Bailey had a work retreat so Brookelynn and I decided to go to Abilene for the first time. We had such a great time see everyone! Brookelynn met lots of new people and was introduced to many new things.

Brookelynn took her first big girl bath in the kitchen sink. I think she kind of enjoyed it!

We also got to visit the pumpkin patch! It was really exciting! Brookelynn even got a new fall dress for the occasion.

Three weeks old!

Brookelynn has been great this week...we are slowly figuring out the whole day/night concept...very slowly! She is just precious and I can't believe how quickly she is growing! She is almost out of some of her newborn outfits already! She is so long! Enjoy her pretty pictures!

Week 3 Photo Shoot!

Ok I know that was a lot of picture but can you blame me?

Week Two

This week we actually ventured out of the house! Nita was here for part of the week helping with Brookelynn and cooking, then the remainder of the week we were on our own! We started getting on our own schedule. There were a few 'all nighters' but I am sure we are going to get our days and nights figured out! My Mom, Dad and sister came down on Saturday night to see Brookelynn. We were able to be lazy and enjoy Brookelynn's company. We received a great surprise when my Grandfather called and was in town! Brookelynn got to meet her Great-Grandfather from Kansas! Here are some pictures from the week and their visit!
