Happy Easter!!

We had a wonderful long Easter weekend! It started on Friday morning when we met Bonnie (my boss) at the Dallas Arboretum to take pictures of Brookelynn. Bonnie was so sweet and offered to take pictures of Brookelynn and I. We don't have many pictures together...I am normally the one taking the pictures. We were able to get several good ones.

The Arboretum was Gorgeous!! We will definitely go back to spend another day! As you can tell Brookelynn had way too much going on around her to pay any attention to the camera. We did everything we could to get her to look our way but nothing would work. The only time she would smile or laugh at the camera was when it was within her little arm's reach. Bonnie was quick with these pictures!

It ended up being such a beautiful Easter day in Abilene. It makes me so thankful that Jesus came to die on the cross for our sins. I am so thankful that Bailey and I have been raised in Christian homes and share the same moral and beliefs. We look forward to teaching Brookelynn all about Jesus and what he did to save her as well. One thing that has been on my heart this weekend is the fact that people (a lot of people) celebrate this holiday and have no idea what we are really celebrating. I am so thankful for the sacrifice that was made for all of us. Ok I will get off of my soap box... here are some pictures of Easter lunch with the family. We went to church with Bailey's family then to lunch with my family. The whole gang was there...grandparents, aunts, uncles, sisters, cousins and all. We missed Jared, Rachel and Jaxson but we are going to see them this weekend!

MY LITTLE EASTER BUNNY!!!

This is Brookelynn and mom finding an egg...it had one dollar in it!! Thanks uncle Todd for the tip!
My grandparents got our cousins bunnies for easter (yes real live bunnies). This one fell asleep on Brookelynn's foot. Brookelynn was not too interested in the bunny, the egg is so much prettier!
Brookelynn and all of her cousins! By this time they were all sick of the Easter pictures!
Family picture time....
Yes...we are the dorky family that most of you will make fun of! We all wore matching lavender! We looked so cute! It made cute pictures....they would have been better without the wind!
One of the great things about the weekend was Brookelynn's time with her grandparents!!
Brookelynn with her Nini
Brookelynn with her Grampi
Brookelynn with her Gigi
Brookelynn with her Cheif

We got home on Sunday evening and realized that I had not taken any picture of Brookelynn in her bunny ears. So she had them on for the rest of the evening!! They looked so cute!!

My Little Stinker!!

She was eating green beans the other night and grabbed the bowl. Then she proceeded to start wiping her eyes and nose with the same hand. This is the result!! It was everywhere!!

Easter eggs are Brookelynn's favorite toys right now. I emptied our stock on her blanket today and she was in heaven! Here are a few sweet pictures of her playing in her snuggly outfit.
She was really excited in this picture...
