More precious days with our girl!

Well...she is definitely her mother's daughter! Bailey had put these dots on the shelf for his trip to KS. Brookelynn spotted them the minute we walked in the room. She went straight for them...leaving no concern for her daddy's cleanly pressed cloths under her feet! Silly girl...stretching as much as possible to get her hands on the goods!

Our talented cutie pie! This picture is so cute of father and daughter. But look closely...there is a visitor in B's belly button. I let B eat in a diaper the other night and heard Bailey dying laughing while he got her out of her high-chair. I came to see what all the noise was about......a little green pea had made its home in her belly button. It fit perfectly! Silly girl!
We can't get enough pictures of this little girl!... After church on Sunday we went by this awesome creek and decided to attempt a photo-shoot. Brookelynn wasn't in the best mood but we were able to get a few cute ones. This is definitely one of my favorite things! Brookelynn is all about hugs these days and I LOVE IT! She doesn't give you a sweet, inconspicuous hug. She makes a production out of it. She starts running toward you with this HUGE smile and arms spread out wide...then wraps her arms around your next and pats our back during the hug! It is the greatest thing in the world! She is such a sweet girl and I will never have the words to explain the joy that she brings to our life. Bailey and Brookelynn Hangin' on the rock This is a priceless picture...she sometimes gets a little too much lovin' from her mom and dad. This is her "too much" look. Fall days...

So... all of a sudden Fall is here and I realized that Brookelynn only had summer cloths. So this was the first day that she put on long pants! Last time she wore jeans she was so little!! but look at her now...she is SO big! She is a toddler! Sporting her new jeans and tennis shoes.
Leggings are my favorite! The jeans are cute too...but I am afraid that people will think she is a little boy since she won't keep a bow in her hair. Leggings are just so cute on her sweet little legs!

So I saw this cute little pumkin shirt in Abilene last time we were there but they didn't have B's size...so I made her one myself! Here is my little pumkins wearing her pumpkin shirt! She is so cute!!

More parties....

Bailey's parents were on vacation when we had Brookelynn's birthday at home so they wanted to celebrate when we came to Abilene. So we had the grandparents over to celebrate one more time! Nita made this precious cake for Brookelynn...she made the 'boy' version of this bear for Bailey on his first birthday. It was so cute!

Brookelynn is used to being the center of attention, so she was not at all shy about sitting on the island and digging in to her cake. My sweet girl even wanted to share with her mommy...
...and her daddy

Then it was time to open presents!

Nita had lots of pictures out from Bailey's first birthday and there was one just like this with Bailey on his first tri-cycle with his dad. So we were trying to recreate pictures! My dad got his antique tri-cycle on his last trip to Kansas. It is so cute and will be perfect for Brookelynn in a few months. She loved being pushed around on it this time...but her feet didn't quite touch the petals.
She got a boa for her birthday and didn't like it AT ALL. She didn't want anything to do with it. haha ...but it still looked cute on her.

Brookelynn loves Nini's puppy, Echo....but he doesn't really love her. Here is Brookelynn trying to give him a kiss.

Birthday girl!

The night before Brookelynn's birthday we gave her a bath, put her in her new p.j.'s and played for a little bit before bed. She loves playing in her car these days. I think she likes the challenge of crawling in and out with that falling. She will crawl in and just sit there.
She thinks she is such a big girl!
She would sit like this for a few minutes then get out...then start over again.
THE BIG DAY!!!
On her birthday we woke her up by singing happy birthday to her. She didn't know what was going on.
Once she figured out that it was her weird parents we threw in some balloons.
She wasn't a big fan of balloons in her bed that early in the morning!
Our family picture with our one year old! She was still confused! (and I was still getting ready)
She went to Caryn's for the day and she said that they sang Happy Birthday Brookelynn all day!
We went to dinner for Brookelynn's birthday that night. (She told me that she wanted Casa Milagro) She got all dressed up and we met Bailey for a birthday date.

We played for just a little bit before bed time! Brookelynn had a special birthday! She was such a sweet birthday girl.

Brookelynn's First Birthday party!!!

We had Brookelynn's first birthday party at 3 pm on Labor Day Sept. 7th. It was a pool party with this little fishy theme. We invited all of Brookelynn's little friends. The guest included: The Beals(B&A), Griggs, Holders, Marinellis, News, G-Parent News, Peels, Ratliffs, & Selfs. We had a great time. Thanks to the adults for bearing the heat while the kiddos swam! This was the greeting when everyone came to the door.

All the kiddos seeing how many people they could get in the little pool.
Sweet birthday girl!!
Brookelynn wasn't sure about all of it at the beginning. Sweet Rachel helped her ease in to the fun!
Tate was most concerned with drinking the water. It was HOT!!
