Brookelynn's new trick...

Brookelynn just started this thing with her tongue yesterday...I think her Aunt Jenni had a part in teaching her over the weekend....

Sorry the video is dark...we were getting ready for bed and when I turned the light on she would not perform. haha She got camera shy!

.....so I finally let her cry it out tonight. That was really hard! But thank goodness she only cried for 20 minutes...I know...I have never let her cry for 20 minutes!!

My sweet girl

I took this picture tonight...I just think she is so cute. We have had a wonderful week. Brookelynn got a new exersaucer this week and I feel like she is learning more things everyday! I think she is having a growth spurt today because she has been very sleepy and cranky...but tonight she was feeling better after her nap. This sweet face made her cranky day disappear. We are so in love with this precious little one. We thank God for her every day!

New Years and Anniversary!

Well.... for our 6 year anniversary we went on an Anniversary hunt. Bailey headed out to Coleman on Sat afternoon and Mom brought Brookelynn out later! I know...very romantic! We have yet to really celebrate but we will! We had a great time out at the farm...it was nice and low key. I will go ahead and apologize for how I look in these pictures. Makeup is not allowed at the farm! :)
Brookelynn went on her first nature walk...

Then she fell asleep...

Brookelynn's First Christmas!!

We had a wonderful Christmas at home. Bailey didn't feel good most of the time...but I was glad that he was able to rest and get better! Brookelynn didn't really know what was going on but we had a good time making her first Christmas special!! I could have taken more pictures but these will just have to do!

On the 24th we went to take pictures with a special Santa...my dad. (Dad started volunteering to be Santa at the Abilene SS several years ago and he has been doing it every since. He loves seeing the sweet children's eyes when they talk to Santa.) Bailey missed out on the picture because he needed some air...quick. I felt so bad that he was sick on Christmas.

Here is a family picture...poor Bailey...You can tell he is not feeling so hot!

We had Christmas with the Beals on the 24th. We had dinner with the whole family then went to the Candelight service. Bailey missed the service but he felt a little better after some rest. When we got back it was present time! It was so much fun!

Brookelynn got books and toys and rattles!

Christmas morning! Brookelynn got up a little too early...Santa was still working when we got up!

Bailey didn't sleep well the night before so we waited on him to open presents...Everyone thought it would be funny to have these masks on when he came out! They were worried he was going to pass along the bug.

Santa's little Elf

On Christmas night we had dinner and presents with Meme & Papaw and all the rest of the family! It was a great time and Brookelynn had her first evening with all of her cousins!

The Lord has blessed us with amazing families. It was such a special time that we will always remember.
