Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas to everyone! We have been working so hard to get all of our gifts for everyone. My sweet little elf has been a great helper! Brookelynn has started talking to us so much! I love this stage so much because she is so fun to talk and sing to. She will smile and laugh and squeal and hollar. She makes this time of year even more special. She is starting to grab at toys and chew on her hands. We love her so much!!

She has so much with her dad! She is too busy to just lay with dad now. She has a perfect little cubby to sit in. She can see the whole room from her perch!

Ok...here are a few pictures that we have taken the past few weeks. I can't believe that I didn't take any pictures at Thanksgiving but we had a wonderful time in Abilene! But don't worry we have some great pictures! We are so excited about Christmas!

This is my sweet girl when we went to meet some girls from work. She looks so precious! And this is the first picture with her sweet boots!! This was definitely the best purchase so far!
She is just smiling so much these days! She is starting to have such a fun personality!

Last Friday we got all dressed up to go see Santa...man...it is a major ordeal to see Santa in Dallas. We went to North Park and didn't get to see hime because it was going to take several hours! Crazy!! So we decided to wait to see the real Santa at Abilene State School. I love this outfit! Her Gigi got it for her...and you know it looks precious with her boots!

Happy Birthday Rachel!!

Today is Rachel's birthday and we just hope she knows how much we love her! I hope that she had a wonderful birthday weekend. We are so excited for her and Jared with Jaxson's arrival coming so soon! Brookelynn is going to love her cousin so much!!

Ok...I know it has been forever since I posted! It has been really crazy! We had Rachel's baby shower last weekend, then I started back to work on Monday. Wow...that was not a good day! I miss Brookelynn so much during the day! But I have to be thankful for the being able to work from home on Fridays. This past Friday I went up to one of our largest clients to introduce Brookelynn to all of the girls. She looked SO CUTE! It was cold and I got her some new boots...little "puggs"...(as my dad calls them)! Well this is a quick overview....but it gets me caught up.

Brookelynn is starting to develop such as sweet personality. She is smiling so much! My long work day is erased when I pick her up and she gets a huge smile on her face when she sees me. I love her so much! ...really...how could you not love that sweet face!

This weekend we went out to the Heathcott's ranch with the Selfs. We had such a great time just catching up. The boys hunted and did boy stuff while the ladies talked and took care of the little ones and ate. Thanks Heathcotts for inviting us to your ranch! It is a great place to get away and have a great time with friends!

Today Jenn, my little sister, was accepted to Baylor University!! I am so proud of her!! We visited the campus on Saturday and she was impressed. Well...what is not to love about BU campus! I am so proud of her! She is such a sweet girl and Baylor is lucky to have a great girl like Jenn!!

Another busy weekend!!

Wow! We had another great weekend! It started with a fun Halloween...Bailey left early Firday morning to go hunting in Coleman. We missed him by 9am but we had a busy weekend ahead of us. My mom, aunt Tonya, cousin Mary Katherine and Jenn came to see us quickly on Friday and then left to start their girls weekend in Tyler. Jenn stayed with us so that we could go to Baylor Homecoming on Saturday.

Brookelynn wore this cute little onesie that said, "this is my costume" for most of the day. We were going to change her outfit Friday night but she was not interested...so this was her costume for Halloween. She still looked so cute and festive.

So...we put her costume on today...and had a photoshoot! She is my sweet little angel.

She is so precious and we are so in love with her!

BAYLOR HOMECOMING 2008

Jenn, Brookelynn and I left home Saturday morning to go to Waco for Baylor Homecoming. We made it for the last bit of the parade and to see all of our sweet friends. We didn't get pictures with all of them but it was so great to see everyone! We found out that Brookelynn was going to have a new friend named Brooke in April. Our friends Ashley and Austin have been praying for this little girl for years and the Lord has blessed them with a perfect little girl!! I also had an alterior motive to going to Homecoming this weekend...the prove to Jenn that Baylor was SO MUCH better than Texas A&M. I really think that I succeeded!! We walked all around campus and saw all of Baylor's wonderful selling points...and I think that she really liked it! I knew that this was the perfect weekend for her to visit!

...and it didn't stop there...After the Baylor tour we drove to Canton to meet up with my mom and all the rest of the girls! My mom, aunt, grandmother, great aunt, and cousins were there for a girl's weekend. They had been shopping most of the day so we met up with them just about the time they were leaving. So...we drove to Tyler to stay with the girls at my mom's cousin's house. It was a great time with the girls!! On Sunday we went home...but not until we stopped in Terrell to see my great aunt Ruth. It was such a great weekend! Today we are recovering from all of the traveling!

Last week we went to John and Jenn's for dinner. This was the first time Brookelynn got to go see her friend Brynn. Every other time Brynn has come to see us at our house. Brynn is so happy...she was teaching Brookelynn how to smile real big!

This weekend we went to Austin to help Hunter (Bailey's little brother) with his sweet proposal!! Him and Shelby are engaged! We, along with several of their friends met in Austin at the Thistle Cafe to surprise Shelby with an engagement party. Hunter asked her at The Capital then he told her they were going to dinner. She didn't know that he had planned for everyone to be at a special dinner he prepared!

6 Weeks

It has been way too long since I posted!! Brookelynn is growing so fast and changing so much! She is doing new things every day!...

LAST WEEK (5 Weeks)

She is starting to notice things around her! This is the first time that she reached for a toy on her play mat.

She started sleeping in her bed last week and she even has slept through the night a few times! We are on our way to good nights of rest!!

More daddy time...she still loves her dad's pinky finger.

THIS WEEK (6 Weeks)

I know it is not much but Brookelynn is starting this kick thing when she sits in her chair. I didn't get video of her fastest kicking patterns but she loves her chair!

She is in a very cuddly stage right now...this is the first time that she would snuggle with me on the couch. She was not a fan of sleeping on her stomach.

It has been getting cold at night so it is pretty chilly in our house in the mornings. I put this new outfit on today and thought it would be too big because it is 3 months...nope...it is the perfect length!

I just think it looks so cute on her!

We went outside to get some pictures...none really turned out but I thought this one was cute because she is smiling!!
