Sweet, sweet Brookelynn

Brookelynn is growing so much everyday! Learning new things and developing such as precious little personality. This morning we were eating breakfast and a little strawberry fell down her gown. (She normally wears a bib so we do not have to worry about dirtiness or silly strawberries) This morning she got extra dirty and was EXTRA silly! While looking for her strawberry she realized how fun it was to hide in her shirt...which turned in to a game of 'peek-a-boo'. She started this all by herself....I just played along...

On the weekend of July 11th we went around Texas in 3 days! We stared the weekend a little early by heading to Granbury for our Ratliff family reunion. It was too short...but fun. Granbury is such a cool little town. We ventured through the town square then headed to the town's sandy beach and swam a little bit...

When we got back from swimming Jared, Rachel and Jaxson arrived. Brookelynn was SO excited to see her favorite cousin. She got cleaned up then started picking on Jaxson.

We got a lot of good family pictures this weekend.

On Friday we went to Abilene for Bailey's cousin's wedding. The rehearsal dinner was out by Buffalo Gap. It was a great time.

On Sunday...we headed to Weatherford for my grandparent's 50th Wedding Anniversary party! It was more fun times with the family...

Brookelynn is now eating table food...which is so fun and so messy and pushes me to be creative with her food. Her favorite so far, by far is blueberries. She loves them! They stain everything...including her hands and face. Some of her other favorites...(besides everything) are tortellini, green beans, spagetti with shell noodles and chicken breasts. She also eats lunch meat, carrots, peas, strawberries, rasberries, beans and she has even had a little ice cream!

Her is our sweet girl getting into the entertainment center. She is a busy body and in to everything these days. She makes us laugh all the time. Oh and I went through a few days where I liked for her to wear only her diaper because she has such a cute little (healthy) body. And that little body is almost walking!

Bailey turned 28 this weekend and Brookelynn made her first craft for dad! We painted her hand and made a lot of hand prints so that we could put 28 of her fingers on top of a birthday cake for dad. She loved it! She was laughing as I painted her hand then so good to hold her hand out as we stamped the paper. She is such a great, easy baby! I am so thankful for her and we are SO thankful for her daddy! We love him so much!

Friday is my day to work from home and be home with my Brookelynn. Every Friday morning I prepare the pool for the afternoon. We got a cool new water toy and we had so much fun this past Friday. I will post a picture of it later...it is a sprinkler mat...SO fun!

When I picked Brookelynn up on Thursday, Caryn had introduced Brookelynn to this fun walker. Brookelynn loved it. I had never seen her concentrate so hard. This picture was taken on Friday because I couldn't get her to smile on Thursday. She was too tired from walking all day and concentrating so hard.

So...for Bailey's birthday he got a boat... So this weekend we got everyone ready to go on the boat. Here is Brookelynn's new life jacket! it is hilarious. She can't stand up with it on because she is too top-heavy! We also got her so cool white shades...

Finally!

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend!! It has been a while since I posted so we are going to work from present until last post.... On Saturday we had Jared & Jamie, John & Jenn, Jared & Rachel and Brynn & Jaxson over. We had a great night! Sadly Jared & Jamie missed out on all the crazy fun since they had another party to go to. Bailey cooked chicken on the grill and put the girls down for the night... That is when it got crazy!...

We had a crazy tetris battle...highlights...Bailey talked a lot of crap to John and Jared...Jenn was quoted early saying, "I hate nintendo games"...later in the evening we had to pry the controls from her frustrated hands...Rachel played tetris for the first time against Jared and beat him...and a lot more smack talk...the rest can not be repeated!

On Sunday Bailey and Brookelynn took a nap on the couch. Brookelynn was so tired...

My sister Jenn was here all week keeping sweet little Brookelynn. We had a great week with Jenn. Thank you so much, Jenn, for keeping Brookelynn when our sitter was on vacation. On Thursday afternoon we went up to Frisco to see Rachel and Jaxson. We had such a good time. The kids were funny and played together. Then we all went to dinner, then to Paciugo!! Yeah for paciugo!!

This is from a couple of weeks ago. My mom got Brookelynn this dress, so cute!! I love Oshkosh from Target! This is one of Brookelynn's favorite places in the living room. She loves her Nanuq and loves to tell her hi!

Happy Father's Day Bailey! Thank you Bailey for being such a WONDERFUL dad to Brookelynn. It has been so fun watching Bailey fall more and more in love with his little girl. Brookelynn loves her daddy SO much. It is great to see her face when dad comes home everyday.

Also thank you to my dad for being such a wonderful dad! I love you so much and I am so proud of you! This is the family picture on Bailey's first father's day...

Ok...I didn't make a post for Mother's day this year. I had a wonderful first Mother's day too. I can't begin to express my love for my girl or how much I LOVE being a mother. It is the greatest thing in the world.

Happy Birthday Brynn....Brookelynn's best friend Brynn turned one last week. We went to her early Birthday party and had a blast. Brynn got some REALLY cool toys and Brookelynn helped test them out.

We went home on the second weekend in June for a 'family work day' at the Beal's new ranch. The girls had a nice day in the pool while the boys worked out at the farm. The girls went to visit that evening. Brookelynn went on her first 4-wheeler ride. Dad was really careful and she loved it.

Brookelynn's baby dedication...at the beginning of the month Brookelynn was finally dedicated. She did so good. I was laughing during the prayer because Brookelynn kept reaching for the pastor's mouth while he was praying. Afterwards it was so fun...we had the whole family over for burgers.

My little sis isn't so little anymore... Jenn graduated for Wylie High and is now headed to Baylor!!! Yeah!! Go Bears!!

I gave Nanuq a bath a few weeks ago and as soon as I finished she went straight over to Brookelynn and shook of. Thanks Nuq...
