Snow Days

Friday we woke up to a winter wonderland. It snowed 12" in Dallas, TX! Crazy! It was so amazing! We played with Nanuq but Brookelynn's boots weren't keeping the snow out since the snow was deeper than her boots were tall!

We have been letting Nanuq stay inside since it has been so cold and Brookelynn loves it! For the first time Brookelynn is interested in playing with her puppy! Nanuq on the otherhand, definitely got more sleep when she wasn't interested.

Snow Bunny

We woke up this morning and there was snow everywhere but that wasn't all! It has been snowing all day! I can't believe all of this snow! When we got home from work we went out back and played for a little bit. Here are a few pictures of my little snow bunny.
Oh she loves the snow!

This was hilarious! She was picking up the snow and eating it for the longest time...then she kicked up a big lump of snow. She thought it would be more convenient to just lean over and eat it straight off the ground.

A close up of the licking and eating action

Then Nanuq decided to join in on the fun...

And that silly polar bear took Brookelynn's hat!

But she thought it was so funny!

This is a picture of the backyard around 5:30. I will take another picture in the morning...it is still snowing!

Silly pictures

Here are a few pictures of my girl since the last time I made a post. She has grown so much and is so much fun! We are so entertained by her little personality. She is so smart and catching on to new things every day.

Brookelynn and her daddy being silly during a Cowboy's game

Brookelynn went through a phase where she didn't want to smile for any pictures...but now...she is a little ham for the camera. When she sees the camera this precious little smile comes out!

This was the day before our trip to Mexico. Brookelynn was heading to Abilene with Terry & Nita that night. I was a little sad and Brookelynn started playing with our luggage tag so I couldn't help but put it on her wrist and ask Bailey if he thought she would qualify as a carry-on.
When we got back home Brookelynn had a new interest in purses. She loves to carry them on her shoulder. She makes it looks so complicated but it is so cute when she carries it around.

She has to keep her arm above her head so that it doesn't fall off.

Here is the 'smile for the camera' pose. What a cute little stinker!

Being silly with her purse

This was just this week when she was pulling her bucket around the house. I peeked around the corner with the camera and there was that smile.

Happy Birthday Jaxson!!

I can't believe that my little nephew, Jaxson, is 1! He is such a sweet boy and had a great party. He even sported his new haircut and looked like such a sweet little man! We love you Jaxson!
Rachel did an amazing job on Jaxson's party. It was a cowboy theme and every detail reflected this precious theme! From the amazing cake to the cowboy pictures and cowboy cookies! It was a fun party with family.

Jaxson wasn't really interested in his cake...but Brookelynn definitely was.

Family picture minus Bailey with the birthday boy!

Hunter & Shelby's Wedding

Hunter & Shelby got married on Jan 9th and I don't have ANY pictures! Can you believe it? I will get some and post them soon. It was a beautiful wedding with a beautiful bride and a pretty cute little flower girl! Pictures to come...

Time with friends

When we got home on the 2nd we were greeted by our great friends Cam & Allyson. We had a great dinner together but Brookelynn had a little rough night. She slipped and got her first black eye. She is definitely a trooper but was a little upset about the fall. She had quite a boo-boo to show for the night. This is the next morning when she woke up.

On Sunday the Selfs came over for some long over due playtime. The girls missed each other so much! They are such sweet girls and are already best friends!

Merry Merry Christmas!!!

We had a wonderul Christmas & New Years! We headed to Abilene and were able to stay for a couple of weeks! We had very special time with the Beals then the News and then some R&R time to ourselves at the ranch. Brookelynn definitely got a little more rotten while we were there. It was quite an eventful trip, definitely one we will never forget. We are so thankful for the time that we had with our extended families as well as our little family. This is a little re-cap of our 4-day Christmas celebration...
We started Christmas this year with the Beals on the 23rd. Brookelynn's presents began...She opened a red barn playhouse and loved it! I have never seen her so excited! It was so cute! She had so much fun hiding inside and playing peek-a-boo out the windows.

She loves that little barn!

On Christmas Eve, we woke up to a Winter Wonderland! We had a white Christmas after it was 70 degrees on the 23rd! It was beautiful and we couldn't believe how much it had snowed and it just kept coming!

There was snow everywhere!

Brookelynn tasting snow for the first time

Brookelynn and I went outside that afternoon to check out the snow. She loved it... loved to eat it more than anything!

Trecking through the snow in her new 'frog' boots

The boys got in the hot tub that afternoon with the snow all around

I made a small snowman that wasn't much to look at...but I wasn't sure how long the snow would hang around.

The girl picture in our cute Christmas PJs

On Christmas day, Bailey and I braved the cold and made a real snowman! It was so fun...and so much work! Don't ask why it has antlers. I think Bailey just really wanted to see something with horns! This one really made my little snowman look really sad...

Our family picture with the snowman
My parents and Jenn came out to the ranch on Christmas day to see all of the pretty snow and ride 4 wheelers for a bit. That night we headed into town to spend a few days with the News.

She loves to eat snow...

Jared, Rachel & Jaxson came to Abilene on the 26th and we had our 'Christmas morning'. Jaxson got a four wheeler for Christmas and Brookelynn thought it was so cool! She hopped on for a ride...

Dec 28th was our 7th anniversary! I can't believe that it has already been 7 years. It has been the most wonderful 7 years of my life. I thank God everyday for my best friend & husband. I find myself loving him more and more everyday. Thank you Bailey for being the greatest friend, husband and father. I love you... We went to dinner that night then headed back to the ranch for a little R&R with Bailey and Brookelynn.

The next morning Brookelynn found her daddy's house shoes and figured out how to put them on her feet. She was very proud of herself!
Brookelynn bundled up to play outside in the cold christmas weather...
We headed back to our wonderful home on Jan 2nd and were very happy to be home!! What a wonderful holiday!
