Finally!

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend!! It has been a while since I posted so we are going to work from present until last post.... On Saturday we had Jared & Jamie, John & Jenn, Jared & Rachel and Brynn & Jaxson over. We had a great night! Sadly Jared & Jamie missed out on all the crazy fun since they had another party to go to. Bailey cooked chicken on the grill and put the girls down for the night... That is when it got crazy!...

We had a crazy tetris battle...highlights...Bailey talked a lot of crap to John and Jared...Jenn was quoted early saying, "I hate nintendo games"...later in the evening we had to pry the controls from her frustrated hands...Rachel played tetris for the first time against Jared and beat him...and a lot more smack talk...the rest can not be repeated!
This picture is hilarious of Brookelynn and Jaxson. Uncle Jared was the photographer and uncle Bailey was the silly entertainer. Bailey know exactly what to do go get a laugh out of his girl.

On Sunday Bailey and Brookelynn took a nap on the couch. Brookelynn was so tired...

My sister Jenn was here all week keeping sweet little Brookelynn. We had a great week with Jenn. Thank you so much, Jenn, for keeping Brookelynn when our sitter was on vacation. On Thursday afternoon we went up to Frisco to see Rachel and Jaxson. We had such a good time. The kids were funny and played together. Then we all went to dinner, then to Paciugo!! Yeah for paciugo!!

This is from a couple of weeks ago. My mom got Brookelynn this dress, so cute!! I love Oshkosh from Target! This is one of Brookelynn's favorite places in the living room. She loves her Nanuq and loves to tell her hi!

Happy Father's Day Bailey! Thank you Bailey for being such a WONDERFUL dad to Brookelynn. It has been so fun watching Bailey fall more and more in love with his little girl. Brookelynn loves her daddy SO much. It is great to see her face when dad comes home everyday.

Also thank you to my dad for being such a wonderful dad! I love you so much and I am so proud of you! This is the family picture on Bailey's first father's day...

Ok...I didn't make a post for Mother's day this year. I had a wonderful first Mother's day too. I can't begin to express my love for my girl or how much I LOVE being a mother. It is the greatest thing in the world.

Happy Birthday Brynn....Brookelynn's best friend Brynn turned one last week. We went to her early Birthday party and had a blast. Brynn got some REALLY cool toys and Brookelynn helped test them out.

We went home on the second weekend in June for a 'family work day' at the Beal's new ranch. The girls had a nice day in the pool while the boys worked out at the farm. The girls went to visit that evening. Brookelynn went on her first 4-wheeler ride. Dad was really careful and she loved it.

Brookelynn's baby dedication...at the beginning of the month Brookelynn was finally dedicated. She did so good. I was laughing during the prayer because Brookelynn kept reaching for the pastor's mouth while he was praying. Afterwards it was so fun...we had the whole family over for burgers.

My little sis isn't so little anymore... Jenn graduated for Wylie High and is now headed to Baylor!!! Yeah!! Go Bears!!

I gave Nanuq a bath a few weeks ago and as soon as I finished she went straight over to Brookelynn and shook of. Thanks Nuq...

Brookelynn has been scooting for several weeks now and she finally started crawling tonight! She did so good!

Happy Memorial Day!!

We have had such a great weekend! We worked in the yard, finished our patio, had friends over a cook-out and Brookelynn went swimming for the first time. It has been so relaxed and we couldn't ask for more perfect weather. Today was beautiful and we got some great pictures! Enjoy!

Here are the moms at the cook-out. I can't believe that we didn't get a picture with everyone! We had a blast with the Selfs, Peels, Griggs and Beals (B+A). We are definitely going to do it again! Tate and Brynn playing together! I can't believe Tate is already one and Brynn is not too far behind! (Brookelynn was sleeping through this fun!)

I have wanted to put a swing in our tree since we moved into this house...Now we finally have a reason to! Bailey made Brookelynn this GREAT swing! She loves it! All the kids have tried it out and it passes everyone's approval!! Thanks Dad!

An eventful month!

Time to play catch-up! Here are a lot of pictures over the last month! I can't believe it has been a month since the last post! So much has changed in just 30 days! Brookelynn is now army crawling...scooting on her belly. (She pulls her body with her arms) She also has 2 teeth! She got the first one on May 5th and the second on May 15th. She has definitely become a vocal baby! She sings and dances along with music. She says mamamamama...dadadada....adadadad.....nananana... She makes such sweet sounds most of the time but she has also learned how to yell. Not a mad, upset yell...just a 'wow, I can make a loud noise' yell. She brings a whole new meaning to 'outside voice'. We have been working on our porch for the last few weekends and as soon as she gets outside she starts yelling. Any other loud noises are just competition to her (saws, lawn mowers, radios) she tries to be the loudest. She is a funny girl!

She has quite a long reach and her favorite thing to reach for is napkins and paper. This is what she likes to do with it when she gets it.
She loves to spend time outside but doesn't really like to sit in the grass. It doesn't feel good on her legs. We sat her down the other day and she held her right leg up the whole time she was sitting there. She is very good at balancing on her bottom. She loves to balance on her bottom and hold her hands and legs up and twist her hands and feet in the same motion. It is quite a site!!
So my sweet sister was taking more pictures of Brookelynn when they were down for Mother's day weekend and Brookelynn was not offering the greatest pictures so...Our sweet pup, Nanuq, decided to get in the shot. What a lovely picture...

I love this picture of my sweet girl...she is not sure what is going on. It was probably the look on her face when someone actual put her down. She is pretty rotten when it comes to being held.

MY PROPER LITTLE PRINCESS.....NOT!!!

Well... I never really thought that Brookelynn would be a 'girly-girl' but my thoughts were confirmed on Tuesday. I was working on our new porch on Tuesday evening and Brookelynn was sitting beside me with some kid friendly toys. I turned my back for one minute and this is what I found...

Brookelynn's first bath buddy!! Brynn, Jenn and John came over the same day and both girls had a little too much fun in the sand! We had so much fun watching the girls. It was really the first time they actually played together. Brynn was walking all around the coffee table so Brookelynn would scoot to be close to her. Brynn just thought of her as speed bump...she would try to step on Brookelynn's head or tummy to get over her! It was so funny!

Brookelynn loves her jumper these days...she sings along as she jumps. Today she was playing too hard and got her first boo-boo. I looked down at the floor and saw a lot of red...it scared me! But she didn't seem to notice...just kept jump, jump, jumpin' away.

I know this is a gross picture...but we have to remember her first boo-boo. If she is anything like her mom that big toe will get stubbed a lot in the future!

Silly Girl!!

Friday night we had a fun date with dad then came home to get ready for bed. It was a little past her bedtime and this is what happens when she stays up late! She was hilarious.
